11 Months (and 2 days)

Our big man turned 11 months old a couple of days ago. He gets bigger every single day and continues to amaze us. He is still crawling constantly and doesn't seem to have much interest in walking yet...which is fine with us because we're still trying to keep up with the crawling. We're counting down to the big first birthday, which is bittersweet. We're excited for him to grow up and to see what kind of person he will continue to grow into. But he was so little just a few months ago. I know I've said it many times and will keep saying it....this year has gone by so fast!

With his best friend in the world.

Awesome new pull toy that he got as a gift yesterday and LOVES.

Trying to open the gate in his room.

Too cute for words.

He loves to tease us (and torture Bailey) by laying on her bed. Thankfully Bailey isn't very territorial and lets him get away with it, because he loves this game.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

We spent part of this perfect weekend visiting the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is an amazing and beautiful place, and we had a great time. Jake was so good all day and saw lots of new flowers and plants...and birds, ducks, butterflies, turtles, and fish...oh my!

Just chillin' and enjoying my ride.

Mother's Day

What an awesome day and such a joy to be able to celebrate my first mother's day with my incredible little man.

Look at my sweet Jake....

Actually this is more like it...we're constantly trying to wrangle him!

N..Duh (Will you read me this book)?

This is the sound that Jake makes for a lot of things but distinctly while handing you a book to read. Most of the time then he just sits in a "ready" position and waits for you to start reading...it's so cute. We usually make it through most of the book these days. But the other day he decided to go through the book himself. It was one of my favorite books growing up, so I was glad he chose this book to read.
