In late June, Jake turned 5! It is hard to believe that we have a 5 year old kid, but I guess we do. The four of us went bowling at a new bowling center in town for Mother's Day and Jake had so much fun he decided he wanted to have his birthday party there. The kids all had a blast, but let me tell you it was a TON of work for the parents. Trying to keep 15 5 year old boys focused and in order was a full time job. All that aside, everyone had a great time and Jake is now on his way to being 6...
Jake has been really into Ghostbusters of late. Jen got him a costume and it is hard to get him out of it. He and Carter play Just Dance on the Wii and the Ghostbusters song is on there. It is so much fun to watch the two of the do it. Carter calls the song "Who" for Who You Gonna Call. Its really funny. The picture on the right is Jake in costume actually watching the movie Ghostbusters. Don't be fooled by that pouting. He was having a blast.
Jake finished up his first real season of baseball. This is him proudly displaying his first ever trophy. Now it is almost time for soccer to start up again...
We are pretty convinced that Carter is a lefty. He instinctively picks up Jakes righty glove and puts it on his right hand and throws with is left. People say it is too early to tell, but if I were a betting man I would put some money down on him being a lefty. I guess time will tell.
Carter loves to sit in Jake's Jeep whenever he can. Last night we had just gotten back from a bike ride and carter put on Jakes's bike helmet and hoped in the Jeep. Jake hopped in to ride shotgun and give his little brother a kiss. They boys get a long so well and it makes us so happy to see them interact and have fun together.
