Pumpkin Patch
Jake made it through his first pumpkin patch and corn maze adventure. We even met the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Doesn't Jake look a little like the Tin Man?? It was a little chilly and windy, so he was quite bundled. But he seemed to enjoy the day...and we are still enjoying the cherry pie that we brought home!

First "Food"
Tonight Jake had his first bites of cereal. We weren't sure how it was going to go, hearing the warnings from his Dr. that he may not like it at first, you may have to wait a couple of weeks, it's probably going to get everywhere (which it did), etc. But he seemed to love it. We think he's going to be a good eater! Here's how it went (and my take on Jake's thoughts)....

OK, this feels different than my normal mealtime, but I'm ready.
Give it to me.

You sure about this?

OK, that wasn't so bad....

But I think maybe I'd rather eat my sock....

Or maybe the bib...mmmmm...

Alright, this is pretty good.

Give me more!

I think I've got this guys. I can do it myself!!

4 Months!
There is nothing in the world like that smile!
He's getting so big! This is his first time in the exercauser. We think he's going to LOVE it in a few weeks.
With Sophie...his new favorite teether. Apparently she tastes really good.
This is Jake's new exercise. We call it baby yoga. He's becoming so interested in his feet and was pulling up his legs during his bath. He does it while getting his diaper changed too, which is quite a challenge for Mom and Dad!

He Can Roll (Part 2)
Friday, October 2, 2009
He can roll!...and random pictures.
Jake officially rolled over for the first time yesterday (belly to back)...of course, he decided not to perform for the video camera so we didn't get a good picture but we were happy to both be there for the big milestone. He acted like that was exactly what he wanted to do. No surprise at all.
Here are some recent photos...

We're pretty sure we are going to have some early teeth (notice the drool).

How many things can I fit in my mouth at one time??

How we spend much of our days.
