Ribbit

Jake pulled this frog out of his closet this morning and used it as a chair while watching Sesame Street. Sounds good to me! It just looked so cute, I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Look Ma...No Hands!

This is how we've started giving Jake oranges. It's how I used to eat them as a kid and I remember it being fun. He wasn't so sure at first, as you can tell. But now he can pretty much eat one half of an orange for PART of his snack. He's such a good eater and thankfully loves some good-for-you food too. Mmmm....oranges.....

Backyard Fun

Jake LOVES being outside. He plays hard, which is good for everyone (good sleep!) except maybe Bailey, who is getting beat up on a pretty regular basis these days. I'm thinking it might be about time for the first haircut. I'm hanging on to the curls for fear that they won't come back. But they are getting a little unruly (see bottom photos). Maybe in a couple of weeks...or months :)

Practicing for the U.S. Open. Our future ball boy.

Look at that form! He's a natural!

The serious face. Isn't he a doll?

Up Up and Away

We've officially declared Jake walking! It's been a slow progression over the last 2 or 3 weeks. This video was taken a couple of weeks ago so he's gotten better since then but it's the only video we have so far. It's still pretty strange to see him up and going on his own but so exciting! We expect to be running around the house very soon!!

Take time...

One of the cutest things EVER.

Play It Again, Sam

Who'd have known there were so many ways to play (and eat) a xylophone?

Happy 4th (of July)!

Yes, we are a month late in posting our 4th of July pictures. That is a direct result of how busy we've been. It's been good busy but definitely a busy summer. More to come.

We had a wonderful 4th of July at the lake with Grandma and Grandpa. Jake had lots of quality time with them playing outside in the beautiful weather, saw a great parade, and saw LOTS of flags. And we had lots of adventures sailing, kayaking, biking, etc. I was able to keep Jake off the sailboat this year. Hoping we can wait a few more before he joins Daddy in the water :)
