Happy Halloween

Yes, it has been a long time since our last post. Sorry for the vacation from the blog, but we have had a lot of changes and a couple of moves since our last post. We will try to post some pics from this summer soon. For now, here is a look at our night. Happy Halloween!!

"This is a very nice way...."

Getting ready (and eating Skittles)!

Jake had a parade and party at school and we were so happy to be there for it.
I loved it when my Mom helped out with parties at school. And speaking of my Mom....thanks to Grandmother for making the hat. It makes the costume!

Arbor Day Festival

Eggs

This year marks our inaugural Easter egg coloring. It was fun but challenging with a sometimes "terrible two" who is very independent. But we had fun and loved the process (OK, Mom and Dad might have had the most fun).

Grandma and "Pop Pop"

Jake has been so blessed to be able to hang out with his grandparents twice a week this fall, winter and early spring. They have so much fun together, and we are so thankful for them!

Backyard Fun (More Bubbles)

I don't think we've been outside in the backyard these last few weeks without the bubbles. He loves to push the button to "activate" the bubbles and to stop them. If we let him, he would carry the bubble machine all over the yard and put it in different places. But the bubble solution ends up spilling all over, so it has to stay mostly in one place. I'm thinking we will be seeing LOTS of bubbles this summer!

Taking a break to play some ball with Bailey.

Lately

Sorry it's been a while since we've had a good update. Things have been busy - but very fun - around here. Jake is going to be 21 months old tomorrow. And it is such a FUN age. He is talking like crazy - new words every single day and is able to talk in sentences. "Puppy Eat Cookie" was my favorite lately (as Bailey stole his cracker). And Jake's favorite phrase right now is, "I need that". He's cutting at least four teeth right now - maybe more. So sleep has been slightly interrupted this week but we are so very thankful that he is still an awesome sleeper. Slept in until 9:30am on Saturday morning. Got that from my side of the family :)

Here are some pics of our adventures lately.

We bought a bubble machine this weekend (he loves bubbles right now) and it was a big hit.

Even Bailey got in on the action.

This is one reason I love weekends...cartoons in bed. And a few more minutes of relaxing for Mommy and Daddy. Ken and I got up this morning and Bailey moved to be closer to Jake.
