8 Months

Well, we're only 4 days late posting Jake's 8 month pics, which is actually a miracle considering how busy we've been this week. At 8 months, Jake is just starting to army crawl (with one arm) and scoot both forward and backward (but mostly backward). He laughs at Bailey almost every day and loves to let her in the house from the backyard. He LOVES to eat everything except bananas and apricots. And his first tooth is getting ready to sprout! He still loves to be on his changing table but hates to get his diaper changed now and rarely sits still. Not really sure how we're going to keep up when he's fully mobile!

Look at those baby blues!

Happy Valentine's Day!

(Notice the shirt :))

Working on his crawl...almost there!

Taking a break for yoga.

Spending some quality time with Sophie (before he eats her head).

I Will Gladly Pay You Tuesday....

We think he looks a bit like Wimpy in "Popeye".

MMMMM......

This week Jake reached 2 new milestones. He started eating "table" food. We would call it finger food, but he hasn't quite realized that he's supposed to use HIS fingers yet. He actually had mangoes first, which went pretty well. Then he tried bananas, which he didn't seem to like much, and then avocados - which he LOVES (can you tell?)!

Milestone #2: Jake started "training" for a sippy cup. He can hold it great but doesn't seem to like water....we're working on that!

And we are hopefully on the tail end of Jake's first big respiratory virus. Who would've thought that so much snot could live in something so small? Crossing our fingers that it doesn't turn into something bigger. Any advice?

Can You Find the Baby in This Picture??

Yes Sir...That's My Baby!

I realized that Jake and I didn't have many pictures together, so we got in a rare photo op.

7 Months!!

We can't believe it. It just SOUNDS so big! As you can see, Jake has been working on his mobility. He rolls FAST. He can sit up great on his own. He's finally realized that he can't stand up quite yet on his own (although he still LOVES to stand), so he's been spending a lot more time on his belly. And he is officially pushing up and "scooting". He can only go a few inches at a time, but we're sure it won't be long before the crawl is in full effect. Enjoy these pics of our BIG GUY!
